Day 8 of Hols: Char Siew & Bandaged Toe

Homecooked (coz was to lazy & cheap to eat out) lobster flavoured non-fried (so much healthier!) noodles with can of seasoned mushrooms, honey franks (so high class sounding right?) and a handful of fresh shitake mushrooms! It was yummy!
Finally got to eat the pies from Don bought last Thursday! Thank goodness we have an oven that kept the flaky pastry light & crispy.
Toe all bandaged up still want to wear nice nice sandals! Not too bad what!
Char siew bought from the the 24 hours NTUC at NEX Shopping Mall. It was nice & I finished the whole serving by myself! *Oops*

Day 7 of Hols: Of shoes & laughter

Lovely & crazy cell members looking gorgeous with their necklaces!
Had pleasant lunch at Toa Payoh catching up after service & before LCE.
My yummy & tasty korean BBQ beef was nice! Only $6!
A treat that was delicious!
Mindy's cinderella red shoes! :)

Day 6 of Hols: Toe Anguish & NEX Shopping Mall (again!)

Yeah, had abit of ingrown dug out by the podiatrist when I had my appt at the rehab centre at SGH.
After that, treated myself to some comfort food. Yeah, kaya toast & soft-boiled eggs AGAIN!
There's Crystal Jade Deli inside Cold Storage at NEX Shopping Mall, at the basement level. Cool! You can get their soya sauce chicken at $10 or roasted pork at $3.50 per 100g.
Celeste bought lots at Skin Food & the kind people there were generous with their samples, which I also got though I didn't buy anything from them!
1st time in wearing nail polish after so man years! Maybe it's time to dig out my stash of bottles of colours? This is a lovely matte colour from The Skin Food shop. I like! :)

Day 5 of Hols: Good Food for Charity, Kaya Toast & a Nutella Cake

Staff from Gleneagles Hospital were raising funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation. Dropped by to support a cell member who is working there. Bought chicken buah kuahlat (correct spelling?) with a serving of rice and 1 small tub of archar for only $10! And the food was so very good & worth every single calorie!
I sucked these tasty things dry though usually would not touch them. This was how good they were!
A platter of fruits for dinner.
Gave in to temptation & had this too!
A delicious yummy Nutella cake to celebrate a cell member's birthday!
Yeah, I was given a HUGE slice which I happily finished! Haha! :)

Day 4 of Hols: Snacks, Food & NEX Shopping Mall

Yipee! Stocked up on my favourite dried cuttlefish to munch on at home during the hols. My mom hates it as she finds it very smelly! I love it! Chew chew chew! Even found one in black pepper flavour!
Supper of mee pok dry at Joo Seng with the family. Once in a blue moon kind of an affair. This was like at 12.30am!
Slept in abit then cooked myself lobster flavoured non-fried noodles which are very low in fat with honey franks (so high class sounding hor?) & an egg.
Mee pok dry (again?!) for dinner with Sylvia before our talk at ACTS Bookshop at China Square Central.
Israel & the end times by Dr. John Tay.
Bought nice, soft & fluffy muffins from Muffinman (they came out in the papers before). These were filled with liquid fillings & were perfect to wash down with tea or coffee.
Talk ended early so we made our way down to the new NEX Shopping Mall at Serangoon NEL station which is like a stone's throw away from my house!! About 60% of shops were not open/ready yet but those that are open are crowded! 1st purchase was at Watsons.
1st meal was at Long John Silver!
Saw workers rushing, trying to finish the renovations overnight & chanced upon this giant cup corn that they were trying to install! My favourite!! This shall be my new hangout & I have the whole of the school hols to make it mine truly! Haha! :)

Was at the airport by 6.15am, what a miracle for a night owl like me right?
Soft boiled eggs from Ya Kun after sending a friend to the airport for MIT to Taiwan. In return, I got a filling breakfast that I've not eaten for ages!
Back to la la land as it's the hols! What better time to catch up on sleep than now?! :)

Post Carnival Aftermath!

Isn't this awesome? Wooden tree earring display stand that can hang up to about 24 pairs of earrings but the leaves tips are fragile & many broke lah.
Isn't this a gorgeous jewellery stand? Many people wanted to buy it but it belonged to my co-tr & it's not for sale! Maybe you can try to offer us a price we can't refuse? Haha! :P
This jewellery stand held my many bracelets very well. About 70% of all the accessories sold out! Even before the carnival started already passed $830 to my office admin. Thus have reason to believe we raised more than a total of $1000 that day!
Row of plans sitting nicely in class to get some loving sunshine & I had to remember to water them once a day lest they turn yellow or die on me before the Carnival day!
Oh my! Look at the amount of stuff ready to be displayed & sold
Look at the handmade sign hanging up there, thank you to a fellow colleague who helped to do so, didn't get your name though. Didn't get to enjoy the other free activities available as I was busy manning the stall till 4pm leh!Boo hoo! Didn't get my free caricarture done! So sad!
Bags hanging happily on the penci clothes stand borrowed from the Toy Library. So nice right??

AWWA staff rocks!
Won a giant food hamper with abalone & chicken essense & lots of goodies! Yummy!
Ooohh there's an iron in there too leh. Also won another set of XBox 360 with 2 games! What are the chances of that happening? So blessed lor!

Some of the yummy goodies I bought from my colleagues! Nazza's nutella roll rocks & so does Siti's brownies! If only there was hot fudge to go with it! *drool* :P

We all had a blast at the carnival, manning the stall & shouting myelf hoarse trying to "lelong" stuff off! Fun fun fun but super tiring lor! Realised I didn't eat or drink much & even go pee at all that day! :)
