Sinful Desserts at D & D
Little slices of cake.
My favourite was the boiled sago eaten with gula melaka & coconut cream. Heard it's easy to make, will attempt it during the school hols....My New Baby!
Finally, I've got a cute, small, handy & light lappie of my very own!
Was very blessed coz a friend won it in a lucky draw & sold it to me for $500 whereas it retails at $699.

Getting my kids to eat...
A kid in my class had sensory & swallowing issues. He'd not eat hard or crunchy stuff for fear of hurting his swollen lips & gums due to side effects of some medicine. As such, we've been training him to eat ALL SORTS of stuff in class during snack time.
Yeah I know it looks gross. We mix his noodles or rice with fruits, crackers, biscuits, cookies, etc & he gleefully finishes them off.B'coz of trying for about 1 year, he can now eat prawn crackers, cheezels, chips, biscuits & fruits. He's more adventurous & willing to try new foods.
To think he used to have to eat his bread soaked in milk!

So blessed by free stuff!!!
We brought the kids out on a class outing to the Esplanade last Monday. We were going down the escalator when this Eurasian guy stopped me in my tracks & asked whether they are able to eat ice-cream. I said yes they can. He whipped out $30 & told me to treat the kids to some.....
So we got to eat nice ice-cream lor.
Mr. Nice Guy, whoever you are, thank you so much for the treat! The kids sure enjoyed themselves!
We also bring the kids to Hougang Point NTUC every Thursday as part of their social & slf-help skills training. It was the usual thing to do.
One particular day, a guy from NTUC, I presumed was the manager, stopped us & said "Wait ah, you all wait ah".
We waited & before we know, 4 brown cloth bags were in my hands with food items in it. Chocolates were also given to teachers & caregivers.
Thank you so much! We were so blessed by the thoughtfulness & random acts of kindness from you all who took time to give from your heart!God bless you all! :)

Training at SSTI at NCSS
What a bright cheery start with Boon Hua's unique hand-woven bag. Nice hor?
A couple of us attended a 2-day training course at SSTI at Ghim Moh. After lunch on the 2nd day, snacks started piling up on the table to keep us awake! From curry tapioca chips, to organic brazil buts & even a small bunch of bananas!!!
Shopping we sure did!
Some of us went quite "mad" here. It is situated in the wet market side of the hawker centre & aptly named "The Biscuit Paradise"!
I loved the dried fruits as most of them were w/o preservatives & sugar.
Dried strawberry, apricots, gifs & cranberries!
